Pacificans Care Mini Grant Program
Pacificans Care has developed its Mini Grant program to help provide support for individuals or organizations offering social services support to residents of Pacifica. The Pacificans Care Mini Grant program is designed to provide up to $500 for events, activities, programs, equipment, supplies and tasks that provide social services support to Pacificans.
Pacificans Care is a community based non-profit organization with a 501c(3) status based in Pacifica. Pacificans Care raises funds locally to provide modest grants annually to social service organizations. Currently, Pacificans Care provides annual supplemental support to Child Care and Senior Services, the Resource Center and the Pacifica Youth Services Bureau. Our main goal is to keep Pacifica a community that cares by supplementing and complementing existing services. The Mini-Grant program has been designed to assist new or existing efforts with a one-time grant to help with the rollout of a new event, activity or program. The Pacificans Care Community Grant Program Application Guidelines, below, provide the guidelines/principles for the Mini Grant program.
Pacificans Care Community Grant Program Application Guidelines
The following are the guidelines/principles for the Pacificans Care Community Grant (Mini Grant) Program:
• All Mini Grants awarded will be consistent with the Pacificans Care purpose of providing support for programs offering social services support to residents of Pacifica and in accordance with the By-Laws of Pacificans Care.
• Mini Grants are generally intended as a onetime (non recurring/consecutive) grant and can be used by the grantee for events, activities, programs, equipment, supplies and tasks as described in their Pacificans Care Community Grant Program Request form. The maximum award is $500 per program/individual unless otherwise determined by the Board of Directors. The maximum number of grants that may be awarded in a fiscal year is limited to four.
• Mini Grants can be awarded to an individual or organization and must have a direct benefit to Pacifica (and Pacificans.) Funds must be used within one year of the date they are awarded or they must be returned to Pacificans Care. The Board of Pacificans Care upon request may consider an extension.
• Mini Grants must be for non-political purposes.
• A Pacificans Care Community Grant Program Request form must be fully completed, signed and received by Pacificans Care prior to the awarding of a grant.
• Mini Grants can be in the form of a direct contribution or in the form of a “challenge” (or matching) grant.
• A brief final report of the accomplishments and fiscal accounting of the project must be provided within 90 days of the expenditure on the Pacificans Care Community Grant Evaluation Report form. Documentation of expenditures (receipts, invoices, etc.) must be maintained.
